GAIN AN EDGE

Now that we have a goal, so we know what we are to achieve and our why to keep us focused and determined; we need to do some self-development because in order to have more we need to become more. We need to develop a slight edge philosophy. What I mean by this is that we need to change our habits and to include little things in our daily routine that will help grow as a person so we become the person we were meant to be.

It is not difficult but it is necessary. For example if you were to read 10 pages every day in a great book such as "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill then at the end of one year you will have read 3,600 pages which is the equivalent of several such books. This is a slight edge.

I will recommend that you should start by reading "The Slight Edge" by
Jeff Olson. Then you will learn to develop your own slight edge by reading this book. I would also recommend you read "Think and Grow Rich" as it is in my opinion the greatest self improvement book ever written. You could and probably should read this book over and over again. Be sure and read the author's preface as he will explain how to get the most out of reading his book.

Until next time learn how to think not what to think!

Winners Never Quit

Do you know why some people succeed and others fail? Well at least part of the reason and probablely the biggest reason is some just quit. If your reason, I call it my WHY, is not a great enough desire to sustain you through those temporary set backs then you will quit.

Your goal is not your WHY. You might say you want to be debt free, financially independent, have more free time, look younger or have more friends. These are all great goals. Lots of people may have the same goals but their reasons (WHYS) will be different. Your why will probably be very personal. You must dig deep to discover a big enough why to sustain you through ridicule from your friends and family for they may be the first to try to tear you down. Your why will help you believe in yourself.
